Low End Mac: A Wealth of Information for 10 Years
- 2007.05.04
Bong! . . . :-) . . . Welcome to Macintosh!
After a very long hiatus, Welcome to Macintosh returns.
I've been dealing with some personal problems that have kept me from doing a lot of things, one being writing this column. I appreciate everyone's patience during these trying times.
While I'm late to the 10th anniversary of Low End Mac celebration, I'd like to say a few words about my experiences with LEM: 10 years - it's been a wonderful ride for Dan and Co., no doubt.
I remember back in 1999, one of the first Mac sites I visited was Low End Mac. I remember how great the site was and how much information there was. I'm proud to say LEM has continued that proud lineage throughout the years. I've always been in awe of the wealth of information, but most of all, the spirit and professionalism of the talented writers aboard. Without Dan guiding the ship and the talented writers onboard, Low End Mac would not be here today.
As we look back on 10 years of Low End Mac, we look back with a gleam in our eye. And as we look ahead to the next 10 years, we thunder through knowing there's plenty to look forward to.
I'd like to take the time to peek a little bit into the future: Low End Mac will not just be a website; there will be an extension to it. I won't completely spill the beans, but it's been in the works for the last couple of months and will be released soon. Dan and I have kept it under wraps even to the point that others writers don't know about it. They'll find out about it when you do.
The last thing I'll say about it is this: We feel it will be a wonderful addition to the already great content you find on LEM.
Do you have any fond memories of Low End Mac over the years? Email me at thomas (at) lowendmac (dot) com with your stories - and stay tuned for the big surprise.
Keep supporting LEM, and here's to the next 10 years!
