Dan Knight reports:

I upgraded my Mac Plus with a Brainstorm accelerator several years ago. This involved shipping the motherboard to Brainstorm, who installed a 16 MHz CMOS 68000 and made a few minor modifications. This more than doubled performance and, in conjunction with SCSI Accelerator 2.1 (with System 6) and SCSI Accelerator 7.0 (with System 7), let me run my state-of-the-art Quantum 40 MB hard drive with a 1:1 interleave. Recommended (if still available). The only downside was that Dark Castle would no longer run.
